The Department of Physical and Health Education at Al-Ahliyya Amman University was established in 2018 under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the first of its kind in the Arab region and the Middle East, to mark a milestone in the Jordanian sports and academic history, through the development of a course dominated by applied and training modules, which mimics modern global trends in this field, and provides the necessary knowledge for outstanding outcomes students, who are able to deal with With health problems associated with immobility such as obesity, back and joint pain, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc., the construction of scientific-based sport programs for these individuals, as well as the preparation of specialized trainers in the design of physical and health programs for various sports, programs for special cases, the elderly, children, pregnant women, and programs to prepare military athletes capable of working in fitness and health centers. Based on the importance of raising awareness of the need for individuals to engage in sports and physical activity, and attention to the positive physical and mental health indicators, and believing in the role played by organized physical activity in our contemporary life, and in view of the academic reputation enjoyed by The Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and the role hoped for it at the local, Arab and regional levels, and in the interest of students from Jordan and the Arab region and surrounding, the introduction of this section was made and developed by and on the Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
