Special Education Department


Preparing and developing educational competencies, in terms of knowledge, skills, and ethics, in the field of special education for the effective education and rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities and the talented, through the provision of academically and research-oriented distinguished education that adheres to the latest practices, developments, and local and international quality standards, to meet the needs of society and its related institutions.



  • Preparing educationally and professionally qualified staff in the field of special education to meet the needs of the local and regional labor market.
  • Enable students to apply measurement and diagnostic tools used in the field of special education.
  • Developing the educational and learning environment in accordance with the latest accreditation standards at the local and international levels.
  • Continuous development and improvement of programs and curricula to keep pace with scientific developments and meet the requirements of the local and regional labor market.
  • Conducting educational studies and research in all fields of special education and linking them to the needs of society.
  • Cooperating with local community institutions to provide consultations and services to people with disabilities, talented people and their families.
  • Developing positive societal attitudes towards people with disabilities.
  • Provide the community with all its institutions (schools, associations, centers... etc.) with specialists who are able to deal with special needs groups of all categories (talents, disabilities, educational problems, behavioral disorders... etc.), and guide and direct the families of special needs groups on how to deal with their children with special needs.
